Welcome, those of you coming from the Westwood Patch. And a Happy Pride Month to all of our LGBTQIA+ members. This pride month, Amnesty USA is focusing on transgender rights. As article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) states “We are all born free. We all have our own thoughts and ideas and we should all be treated the same way.” The United Nations Foundation states “For the UN Foundation it is simple: Trans rights are human rights.”
Actions regarding LGBTQIA people will be appearing throughout the month, but for now why not check out the myths regarding shared bathrooms and educate your friends and neighbors?
